Re: HELP...With my veiled chamleon
Hey David, well my veiled chameleon is now worse after I took her to the vet several days ago when I posted asking for help. Here's what's going on with her. She's not eating, she's lethargic, can't climb up any of her branches and keeps her eyes closed alot. I have her in a proper screen cage, proper lighting and I gut load my crickets and also dust them 2-3 days a week with calcium, vitamin D and Zoo Meds Reptivite. I don't know what else to do or give her. I doubt that she is egg bound because she just laid a clutch of eggs on Feb.22nd and was doing great up until now. If you have info. to help me out I really appreciate. Thanks, Patty

Re: HELP...With my veiled chamleon
She may be dehydrated. Chameleons don't drink standing water, so they need to be misted several times a day. Could you post or pm me a picture of her?
Re: HELP...With my veiled chamleon
I don't know how to post a pic through this message so I am posting it on my profile. I do mist her several times a day and today I had to make her a little mad so that she would open her mouth for me to spray water into her.

Is that a current picture of her? When you took her to the vet what did they state was wrong?
Re: HELP...With my veiled chamleon
P.S. her color is actually a little better now. She was a very dull green. I took out all her tall limbs so that if she falls it won't be as bad. She fell earlier and caught herself with her tail.

Yes I just took this pic a few minutes ago. The vet said she was fine that she was just having trouble shedding so it was aggrivating her.

Re: HELP...With my veiled chamleon
I am so sorry to hear that. If you need anything let us know. Did you find out the cause by any chance?
Re: HELP...With my veiled chamleon
No I had to force her to drink and even tried to puree meal worms and give to her but she just got weaker and weaker and died in my hand. She is now buried in my angel garden. Thanks for all your support.
